We look for local businesses with a proven commitment to quality service and the communities they serve.

We interview every business
We speak directly with the business—typically the owner—to understand their work, values, and approach to customers.

We review their reputation
We review online reputation and require a Google rating of 4.5 stars or better before a business can move forward.

Approved businesses can list
Once approved, the business owner can publish their listing and become available to Friends of Miami residents.

Your neighbor behind the research
I was born and raised in Miami and Miami Beach. This is home, and I understand the care that goes into choosing the right people and places for the community you love.
As a homeowner, I know how difficult it can be to find someone reliable for a repair or an update—or to know which nearby restaurant is truly worth trying. Businesses come and go, so I created Friends of Miami to make that search easier for local residents.
I do the research, meet with business owners, review their reputation, and look for a 4.5-star Google rating or better before I recommend a business here. The goal is simple: help neighbors connect with trustworthy local businesses.
My years publishing community-focused publications for families and residents helped me build meaningful relationships throughout Miami Beach and Miami. Those connections keep Friends of Miami grounded in the neighborhoods it serves.
